These pieces encompass the Nonsense series and “Living in the Labyrinth”. The digital world brims with resources and education, but it also presents the allure of an "upside down" world where information becomes skewed, distorted, and misaligned. Initially, while the 2024 election cycle was approaching, I desired to take a break from my suburban series- a painting series exploring lack of walkability, the rise of mental health issues and the pervasive legacy of racism and consumption. Due to the increased divisiveness around walkable communities, embarking on a political journey through my art during a year saturated with political information and misinformation seemed counterproductive to my mental well-being. So this series became a sardonic and slightly whimsical exploration that ended with barbed politically-charged commentary.
